Chrome OS: Accessibility Basics
High Contrast
1.Click on where the clock is and click on the gear.
2.Search for accessibility in the settings menu and click on Manage Accessibility Features.
3. Under display, select High Contrast Mode.
Your display will now be set to High Contrast mode.
Mouse Cursor

Access Accessibility using the same method as above.

Scroll down to Mouse and touchpad.

Click on Show large mouse cursor.
You should now have a large mouse cursor.
To highlight the mouse cursor, highlight “Highlight the mouse cursor when it’s moving”
You can change the speed of the cursor by clicking Open mouse and touchpad device settings and changing touchpad speed settings.
Speech
3.To enable text to speech, click on enable Select to Speak. You will be able to hear text by selecting the text and pressing Search + S.
Zooming
Click on the three dots at the top. You will be able to increase the site by pressing the + and - at the zoom section.
Large Text
On the keyboard:
Press ‘Ctrl’ + ‘Shift’ + ‘+’ (plus) to decrease the screen resolution, making everything bigger.
Press ‘Ctrl’ + ‘Shift’ + ‘–’ (minus) to increase the screen resolution, making everything smaller.
Press ‘Ctrl’ + ‘Shift’ + ‘0’ (zero) to return to the default screen resolution.
Text to Speech and Dictation

Click on where the clock is and click on the gear.

Search for accessibility in the settings menu.

To enable text to speech, click on enable Select to Speak.

To enable dictation, scroll down and click on enable Dictation.

After you have enabled this, you should see two icons on the taskbar.
